SPEEDRUN – Afrikaans taxi service heading to court

Wanatu, the all Afrikaans ride hailing services has taken umbrage at the fact that some of its vehicles were impounded by the Tshwane Metro Police Department. The vehicles were reportedly impounded because drivers failed to present operating permits. The platform has said it will approach the courts. Drivers on other ehailing platforms also had their vehicles impounded for not having valid operating permits. There is seemingly however, a backlog of applications for permits. The City of Tshwane and drivers are set to meet next week.

DStv Access and Compact customers can now upgrade their subscription for just R100, with a few caveats. Subscribers must have an account in good standing and fully paid up. The upgrade can be done at a partner store, the MyDStv app, WhatsApp or the website. For R100, this is a decent deal for existing subscribers.
