Man drives car made out of LEGO

Oh, wow. Having had a lifelong love of LEGO, I was super-impressed when I saw this story on Kotaku: a Romanian teenager and an Australian entrepreneur have put their heads together and built a car out of 500,000 pieces of LEGO, including an engine made out of LEGO that actually runs. Inconceivable!

As LEGO is plastic, obviously the engine can’t be powered by anything that burns, so compressed air has been used to power the 256 pistons. Sure, it only does a maximum of 30km/h, but the mere fact that it runs and can carry an adult human at that speed is good enough for me.

And as a final nod to awesomeness, the whole thing looks like a hotrod from the 1920s. How cool is that?
