Twitter upgrades its photo sharing

Twitter’s latest update is all about photography with two new features that make sharing photos on the social network even more sociable.

Twitter Photo Tagging

The first feature is the ability to tag up to ten twitter users in every photo without using up any of the precious 140 characters of your tweet. There is also a new notification that has been added to the app for both iOS and Android that will allow for a notification when you are tagged in a photo by someone else. The feature is similar to what is available on other, competing, social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook and will definitely help with letting all of your friends know that you’ve finally tweeted that group selfie.

Twitter Multiple Photo Upload

The second feature, which is currently only available to iPhone users, brings the ability to upload up to four photos per tweet. The photos create an instant collage type preview that is embedded at the bottom of the tweet. Tapping on any image in the preview enlarges it and you can then swipe between the different images. The feature will be rolling out to the Android app and to the twitter.com web interface in the future with no word on whether official Twitter clients like Tweetdeck will get the feature as of yet.

The new features are available in the latest versions of the iPhone and Android apps which are already live in their respective app stores.
