[Map Monday] Where to find free WiFi around SA

A few weeks back, we published an article on how to find free WiFi in Cape Town. Just so everyone else around the country doesn’t feel left out, we’ve found a helpful site that pin points WiFi hotspots near you.

Find Free WiFi has a simple map with purple WiFi icons showing you different places such as restaurants, coffee shops and retail shops that offer free WiFi. It also tells you how much data you’re allowed to use, how much time you’re given, how frequently the password is changed and who to ask for assistance in getting onto the network.

Businesses are also welcome to add their address on the map to let people know that they’re offering free WiFi.

Find Free WiFi also has three mobile apps you can use that to locate free WiFi spots – t he app is more detailed as it tells what time a certain place with free WiFi opens, how far it is from where you currently are, as well as the GPS coordinates so that you can find your way there easily.

Download the Find Free WiFi app for Android or Windows Phone.
