Soccer fever is in the air as Brazil is set to host the FIFA World Cup in just seven days. For those of us who can’t make it all the way to the South American country, Google Maps is giving us a virtual glimpse into the action with the addition of all 12 stadiums that will be used during the tournament on Street View.
Take a tour around Brazil and see the Maracana, Arena de São Paulo, Mineirão, Estádio Nacional de Brasilia, Arena Castelão, Arena Fonte Nova, Estádio Beira-Rio, Arena Pernambuco, Arena da Amazônia, Arena Pantanal, Arena das Dunas and the Arena da Baixada stadia.
Google Maps has also added Brazil’s colourful and vibrant painted streets, a Brazilian soccer tradition where the city streets are painted every four years for the World Cup. You can also see images from hundreds of sites across Brazil, including Iguaçu National Park and St. Michael of the Missions.
Happy virtual touring.
