If you feel something in the air today, it may just be the reverberations of the Force for today is, according to LucasArts and Disney at least, Force Friday.

Since 12:01 this morning, Star Wars fans have been treated to a near-constant deluge of new Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens merchandise, and we were invited to attend a special unveiling in Sandton of the new merchandise that included a few special things (spoilers: there was a lot of LEGO).

So if you happen to be wandering through the halls of Sandton City this weekend, direct yourself to the Mr. Price Court and feast your eyes on the cool Star Wars merchandise on display, all of which is available from various stores at the shopping centre.

The toys that immediately caught our eye were an electronic Chewbacca mask that plays a pre-recorded Wookie noise when you move your mouth (awesome! – ed), and a Millennium Falcon that includes figurines of Chewbacca, Finn and BB-8.

For those who can’t make it to Sandton City for whatever reason, don’t be sad, we have a bunch of photos for you to drool over. These should also provide plenty of motivation to start planning your spending budget for the next few months as we all gear up for The Force Awakens, which releases on the 18th of December.
