Is your TV a bit on the sad side? Do you want a new one? Well then this competition is for you!
LG has given us a spectacular 55-inch SUHD TV to give away to one lucky reader, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
We are, however, going to make you work for it: you need to send us a picture of yourself standing near your current TV, looking as sad as possible, and we’ll choose the saddest-looking picture and award whoever submitted it with the TV at the end of October.
We must stress, of course, that we’re not encouraging you to smash up your television set or hurt yourself in any way for a chance at winning another one, so please don’t get too carried away.
As for why you should enter: the TV is gorgeous, not only thanks to its slim design but its picture quality as well. SUHD is not just 4K, which is itself four times the resolution and clarity of Full HD, it’s 4K with better colours. That’s indicated by the “Super” in “Super UHD”, and happily it’s not just another marketing term – the picture quality and colours on this TV truly are “super”.
Admittedly, proper 4K movies are very thin on the ground right now, but while you wait for your favourite shows and movies to make the transition to 4K, you can always hook the TV up to your home network (and the internet), and watch YouTube’s selection of 4K videos using the YouTube app that’s built right into the TV’s operating system.
