Let forgood help you spread cheer to the less fortunate this Christmas

forgood is encouraging South African to share some love with those who are less fortunate this festive season.

The social startup has issued a call for locals to volunteer time, skills or donations in the form of goods or money to the organisations or projects listed on its website.

“One small act of goodwill can go a long way,” Andy Hadfield, CEO of forgood said. “This isn’t an easy time of year for many of the causes listed on our site and some extra help in the form of goods or time donated would be welcomed.”

You can help out in any of the following ways:

1. Donate your previously loved goods
2. Volunteer your time or skills
3. If you can’t find a match, create a personalised offer and forgood will match it out to causes near you. You can give on your own terms.

“Technology has made getting involved and doing good simple, quick and easy, which in turn has a real social impact on the non profit sector,” Hadfield said. “All of the causes registered on forgood have been vetted and our platform provides a user-friendly channel for individuals and organisations who are looking for legitimate causes and projects to support.”

Head over to forgood to see how you can join over 1 000 actions already done and what you can positively contribute to.
