Sign up for HackAStory in Cape Town and make awesome newsgames this month

Most times, news articles get people talking, ranting and pondering, but who ever thought you could turn the latest scoop into a plot for a game? This month, that’s exactly what’s going down in Cape Town at the HackAStory event.

HackAStory originated from The Netherlands a few years ago and has since been to other countries in Europe.

The idea is gather a group of people for two days, hand them recent newspaper and get them to create games based on articles that interest them.

This is the first time the event is coming to South Africa and is organised in partnership with Code4SA and the Open Society Foundation.

HackAStory is looking for a good mix of participants, including coders, designers and storytellers, to make the event a success. You also need to have a desire to explore and build something cool.

HackAStory takes place from the 27th to 29th January. Signing up is free and can be done by filling your details in on this form.
