FNB has confirmed that it is experiencing “intermittent connectivity” issues today due to a network upgrade.
This is the second time in as many days that the financial institution has suffered downtime. Yesterday customers turned to Twitter to vent their frustrations from not being able to access their bank accounts online and being unable to swipe at point’s of sale.
The matter was resolved until this morning when customers flocked to Twitter and various other mediums to inform the bank of the issues they were experiencing.
Is it just my app or #fnb is down again

Hello @Rbjacobs I tried 3 Fnb ATMs @ different locations & all down/offline. I hope I won't be charged for having to use another banks ATM?

Hassein has also said that the institution is working to rectify the problem.
FNB has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the outage and will continue to update customers on its remedial progress.
Please accept my apologies, we're working on resolving the issues
