Hisense Infinity H30 and H30 Lite now available in South Africa

Hisense has a pair of new smartphones for the local mid-range market – the Infinity H30 and Infinity H30 Lite.

Both devices were unveiled at a media event earlier today, where the Chinese manufacturer reaffirmed its local commitment to consumers while also touching on the company’s 50th anniversary being celebrated this year.

Shifting focus back to the devices, value for money and design appear to be the big selling points. Speaking of the latter, the H30 and H30 Lite are available in bright beautiful colours and feature a look quite similar to some of Huawei’s cheaper phones, such as the P Smart.

As for the specifications, the H30 is boasting the better components on paper, with a 6.5″ FullHD+ display up front with a U-drop screen notch that houses a 20MP selfie camera. On the rear a dual lens setup is present, with a 16MP and 2MP option available, along with a fingerprint sensor also located on the back.

Some of the other notable features include a 4 530mAh battery, although Hisense does not mention how much life users can expect to get out of the H30. There’s also an octa-core MediaTek P70 processor internally, which is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Local pricing varies depending on the retailer, but Hisense have served up an RRP of R5 999 on the Inifinity H30.

Moving onto the smaller Infinity H30 Lite, it has a 6.1″ FullHD+ screen up front with an 8MP selfie camera in its screen notch. Under the hood is 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage (microSD good for an additional 128GB), along with an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset.

Looking on the rear a fingerprint sensor is also onboard, with Face Unlock available too. The rear camera is dual orientated as well, with a 16MP and 5MP lens featuring. As for the battery, the H30 Lite has a 3 000mAh offering powering things.

Like its bigger brethren, pricing will vary locally on the Infinity H30 Lite, but it will retail in the region of R3 399.
