Speaking as somebody that has had to pluck shards of smartphone display out of their thumb, a broken display isn’t just annoying, it can be dangerous as well.

The trouble is that repairing a display can be pricey.

In a bid to help its customers restore their smartphone displays to their former glory, Huawei has announced a special we think you should take it up on.

During the month of August Huawei will offer customers screen repairs for just R699. This represents a R1 000 discount on the process, but the good news doesn’t stop there.

This special offer also includes a new Huawei battery and a 90-day workmanship warranty on your new screen,” Huawei told Hypertext.

The only downside is that there is a limit on which models qualify for the offer.

The following models qualify for a screen repair at R699:

  • P8 Lite (2017)
  • P8 Lite
  • P20 Lite
  • P Smart 2018
  • P Smart 2019
  • P10 Lite
  • Y7 2018
  • Y6 2019

The offer is being run on a first come, first served basis and while Huawei says there is no need to book a repair we highly recommend it. To book a repair head to this website and fill in the form.

The promotion is available at Huawei Service Centres (where repairs will take place the fastest), Vodacom Repair Centres and CelluCity Authorised Service Centres.

Huawei has said that 95 percent of repairs will take 24 hours.

Remember this promotion is only available between 1st and 31st August so take advantage of a cheaper screen repair if you need it.
