DStv customers get access to 600 Udemy courses for free until July

When lockdown began we saw a massive number of folks baking bread, at least, that’s what we think was happening given all the yeast had disappeared from the shelves.

Learning a new skill has been something of a habit for South Africans confined to their homes and MultiChoice has announced an offer that will help you learn even more.

Until the end of July, DStv customers will have access to 600 courses on learning platform Udemy for free.

In addition, customers will receive a $5 (the voucher will be the Rand equivalent of this figure) voucher to use on any of Udemy’s paid courses.

“We’re always looking for new and creative ways to add value for our customers – most recently during the current COVID-19 period,” said MultiChoice South Africa’s chief executive officer, Mark Rayner.

To access the free Udemy courses, DStv customers will need to download the DStv app, sign-in and select the Udemy offer.

Udemy offers up 100 000 courses online in a range of fields. You can learn game design basics or take a course in micro economics. Users can learn at their own pace and video courses are rather popular.

You can also check the credentials of those giving the lessons including where they studied, positions they’ve held and more.

Even if you aren’t a DStv subscriber, it might be worth checking out a course from Udemy.

There is even a special on at the moment where courses can be purchased for as low as R165.
