Showmax will stream The United Way documentary across Africa this month

It is a lot tougher to be a Manchester United fan at the moment, given the club’s recent run of results and a 5-0 drubbing to Liverpool at Old Trafford last month, so to offer some respite Showmax will be streaming The United Way on its platform this month.

The streaming will be available across all African territories in which Showmax operates, with it first streaming on Showmax Pro come 9th November and the regular version of the service on 20th November.

For those unfamiliar with the documentary, The United Way is told and co-written by former Manchester United player Eric Cantona, who joined the club just as the professionalism of football was changing and the Red Devil dominance began.

“Cantona joined the club in the early 90s and played a pivotal role in helping the club dominate English football. The United Way takes audiences on a compelling ride through the history and evolution of the world’s biggest football club and shares Cantona’s unique insights into the iconic team, including the social and cultural environment that shaped it,” explains Showmax in a press release sent to Hypertext.

“Viewers will also hear from former United players and coaches such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Bryan Robson, Brian Kidd, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Teddy Sheringham, Nicky Butt, Peter Schmeichel, the late Tommy Docherty and more,” it adds.

Should the documentary have piqued your interest, you can watch a trailer for it below. You can also find out more about Showmax Pro, which features music channels, news and live sports streaming, head here.
