Casetify jumps in on NFTs, will help display a verified NFT on your phone case

Over the past couple of weeks we have seen many a company jump on the NFT bandwagon, and for good reason, with the interest in non-fungible tokens showing no signs of slowing down despite there still being a lot of unknown elements as regards ownership.

The latest company to jump on the bandwagon is phone case specialists Casetify, which this week announced its new NFTyourcase platform.

As the name suggests, the platform allows you to verify your NFT, along with printing it on a case for you to display to “jealous” onlookers.

The platform uses MetaMask and WalletConnect in order to link to a user’s digital wallet and verify NFT ownership. Added to this, each phone case will feature a printed QR code alongside the image, linking to the origin and metadata of the NFT in question.

As Hypebeast points out, there are certain “blue chip” NFT projects, like Bored Ape Yacht Club, will also receive a check mark in the form of a blue ring around the camera housing, which you can see in the header image above.

For now, as is often the situation for phone accessories, Apple and Samsung devices appear to be the only options. To that end, if you have an iPhone 8 and better, or a Galaxy S20 and newer, you should be able to create a case.

“Proving authentication is everything to an NFT owner, and our platform eliminates those worries by decentralizing the verification process for creating phygital goods,” explained Casetify CEO and co-founder, Wes Ng, in a press release issued earlier this week.

“The launch of NFT Your Case allows the community to flex their digital artworks right in the palm of their hands, while opening the door to endless creative possibilities in the Metaverse.”

The platform says it supports worldwide shipping, so local NFT enthusiasts can get in on the action if they want to as well, provided they have the right smartphone and the patience to wait for customs.
