Nokia’s new T20 Tablet lands in SA mid-January for R3 999

Last October, HMD Global showcased a new device in the form of the Nokia T20 Tablet.

It was the company’s first foray into the tablet space and, much like its smartphones, the T20 is aimed at the mid-range market to provide a simple and clean Android experience, along with some larger screen real estate.

At the time, local pricing and availability for the T20 Tablet were unknown, until today with HMD Global confirming that this new device will land in South Africa in mid-January.

At this stage we do not have a precise release date, but the T20 is already listed for purchase on the local Nokia Phones site. Speaking of which the T20 Tablet (in Ocean Blue) carries a recommended retail price of R3 999. If you wish to go through the likes of Vodacom or other selected retailers to pick it up, contract pricing starts from R270 per month.

As a quick reminder of the key specifications on this device, a 10.4″ 2K display is present, with 8MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras onboard. Added to this is a Unisoc processor, representing a change in the usual vendors for HMD, as well as 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

There’s an 8 200mAh battery internally too, serving up enough battery life for up 15 hours of web browsing or 18 hours of listening to music.

With that in mind, HMD has also struck up a partnership with Spotify for access out of the box, but for long is unclear. Users will also get a 30-day free trial of ExpressVPN thanks to another partnership.
