Samsung launches Galaxy A03 Core in SA for under R2k

We are not even halfway through the beginning of the first month of 2022 and Samsung has already debuted two very different smartphones – the first was the Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) 5G and the other is the Galaxy A03 Core.

It is the latter which is the more recent announcement and likely of more interest for those cost savvy consumers on the lookout for a new phone to start the year.

The Galaxy A03 Core is an entry-level device and is already available locally, launching to the public with a recommended price tag of R1 799.

What does that buy you? A fairly decent amount of phone. To that end, up front is a 6.5″ Infinity V display (teardrop notch) which yields a respectable HD+ resolution.

It also features an octa-core processor that clocks at 1.6GHz, although the exact nature of the silicon has not been disclosed. This is paired with 2GB RAM, as well as 32GB of internal storage, along with a microSD slot to house up to 512GB extra space.

As for other notable elements, the camera system features an 8MP shooter on the rear and 5MP front facing selfie option. It should also last a full day and then some, with a massive 5 000mAh battery present.

Running the Android Go 11 operating system, the Galaxy A03 Core is designed for consumers who wish to be a little more discerning with the amount of resources their apps need.

Last worth mentioning is that the new entry-level Samsung phones come in either Black or Blue colour options.
