Shredder is now available in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl for free

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, the Smash-inspired platform fighter based on Nickelodeon franchises, has been updated with a new fighter in the form of infamous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain Shredder.

This new character is free and will join several other TMNT characters as playable fighters. Raphael, Leonardo and April O’Neil were already in the game, giving Shredder players lots of lore-appropriate opponents.

A reveal trailer of Shredder has been uploaded to YouTube but, for some reason, only on the IGN channel. This isn’t too surprising as many official trailers for the game have also only been made available through IGN, but we would have though a dedicated channel would have been created by now.

The release of Shredder also comes with it an update to the game whose patch notes you can read here.

Alongside this new fighter there’s also a new stage based off of the show Double Dare alongside of a host of other bug fixes and changes.

We’re not sure how the hardcore competitive community of this game is, but it was clearly intended to be deep as evidenced by the move list for Shredder which you can see below.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Back when Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launched in October 2021 we reported on its decent reception and “Very Positive” review rating on Steam.

Unfortunately things have changed since then. Right now the “recent reviews” section on Steam has the game listed as “Mixed” with 57 percent of the reviews being positive.

The all reviews section, however, retains the “Very Positive” rating with 83 percent positive reviews.

Hopefully these continued updates with new characters will help bring in some more positivity.
