Here’s a cool Cal Kestis lightsaber you can’t easily buy

Originally released in November 2019 it really feels like Jedi: Fallen Order gave fans something great as the dumpster fire sequel movie trilogy wrapped up the very next month that year, and now you can own a part of that in the form of Cal Kestis’ lightsaber, but not really.

This is because Disney has launched this product as an exclusive to Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, a physical store located in the Galaxy’s Edge Disneyland.

The existence of this store has been the bane of many Star Wars fans as the exclusives sold there require an expensive trip to the park. Even for Americans who live in the country would still be faced with massive travel costs and entry fees just to buy these products.

This is even worse for those of us outside of the US as the secondhand scalper market becomes the only way to buy these exclusives.

So what are we all missing out on? From 25th March visitors to the Den of Antiquities that, true to the game and the right of passage of Jedi, assemble their own lightsabers. And yes we did use the plural there on purpose.

“Those familiar with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will recognize the broken end design since Cal Kestis acquires the lightsaber after the weapon is damaged and is only capable of emitting a single blade. When you purchase this distinct lightsaber hilt, it comes with a dual lightsaber adapter, so you can recreate the original double-bladed design reminiscent of when the lightsaber was owned by Cal’s Master, Jaro Tapal, when you purchase a second hilt,” writes Melissa Lee who holds the title of Public Relations Associate, Disney’s Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing.

No price has been revealed just yet, but we’re sure many people will be double dipping to get that dual lightsaber experience that many people liked to use in the game.

To show it off Cameron Monaghan, the actor who played Cal Kestis, took a trip to Disneyland Resort to check out the lightsaber and pose for some pictures.

There are pictures of him using both green and blue blades. As choosing blade colours is also a part of saber customisation in Fallen Order, we have to wonder if Monaghan chose those colours himself or Disney did as they’re the most commonly associated with the Jedi.
