Games coming to PS Plus and Game Pass in May 2022

April has almost wrapped up, which means it is time to turn our attention to the new month and the upcoming games that will be available on both PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass for May 2022.

Starting with the Sony ecosystem, and while some significant changes to the tiers and library of PS Plus are expected in June, for now the same formula of three titles being added and removed at the start of each month remains.

For May 2022, those titles are FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard and Curse of the Dead Gods, all of which land on 3rd May to PS Plus. Both FIFA 22 and Tribes of Midgard will be available to those with a PS5 or PS4 console, but Curse of the Dead Gods is for PS4 players alone.

If for whatever reason you have not played the latest instalment in the biggest football gaming franchise in the world, you now have an opportunity to do so.

In past years this would not have been such a draw, but given some of the issues surrounding EA Sports’ and FIFA’s willingness to collaborate in future, this may be one of the last games to feature the branding.

Shifting to Game Pass and Xbox has already detailed some of the games that will be available to play as Day One titles.

These include:

  • Loot River on 3rd May,
  • Citizen Sleeper on 5th May,
  • Trek To Yomi on 5th May,
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising on 10th May,
  • Floppy Knights on 24th May,
  • Hardspace Shipbreaker on 24th May,
  • Sniper Elite 5 on 26th May, and
  • Pac-Man Museum+ on 27th May.

Of the above Trek to Yomi and Sniper Elite 5 have piqued our interest the most, as they were both featured in our noteworthy releases for May 2022 earlier this week.

As has been the case with Game Pass, these are not the only titles to keep on your radar, with more announcements usually coming as the month progresses, which is why we always advise signing up to the official Xbox Wire for the latest updates to Game Pass.
