WandaVision social media returns… to sell toys

If you had Twitter notifications turned on for the official WandaVision account you may have gotten an alert recently about a new tweet only to find the unfortunate truth that it’s just an advert to sell some toys.

The WandaVision account has been dormant for some time now. The last tweet before this one was on 14th February but it was just a reminder of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And even before this most of the tweets were secondary to the show leaving fans many months between any real news.

This latest tweet alerts followers to some new Marvel Studios SELECTS which are part of Funko.

The two dioramas are based on episode six, “”All-New Halloween Spooktacular!” and episode seven, “Breaking the Fourth Wall”.

These dioramas are cheaper than we expected selling for $7.99 a pop on the Target website. For those in America you can find them here and here with the rest of us needing to go through the hoops of importing.

For your money each diorama is said to be made of vinyl weighing 0.25 pounds (around 113 grams) and measuring in at 4 X 4.5 X 3.5 inches. That’s height X width X depth and in centimetres it’s 10.16 X 11.43 X 8.89.

As WandaVision has, retroactively, had a much bigger impact on the MCU given the events of Multiverse of Madness, we’ve been patiently waiting to hear more from the official social media accounts of the show, so this advert for these toys has us a little deflated.

We’re sure some people will be happy to see these and will break out the credit card, but it kind of feels like we got a notification of a text from an old friend only to open it and find that they’re trying to convert us to an MLM scheme.
