Rain aims to make it easier for customers to purchase a 4G Unlimited SIM card by expanding its Pargo Pickup Point reach.

This as 276 points have been added since last year, meaning that there are now 589 Pargo Pickup Points inside participating Clicks stores in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, North West, the Eastern Cape and Free State.

Those interested in picking up a SIM card can find their nearest participating Clicks store by going to the Rain website and clicking on “pick up a 4G SIM today”. This will take users to a map showing all the Rain Pargo Pickup Points and addresses in the country.

When arriving at their selected Clicks store, customers need to look out for the Pargo signs to locate a collection point and then request a rain 4G SIM. Once collected, they can head back to the Rain online portal to activate.

For those unfamiliar with this Rain product, the SIM itself is free. When activating a SIM, there’s a choice between unlimited 4G for any device for R479 a month. Other options include 19 hours unlimited off-peak data for any device for R250 a month or unlimited 4G for phones at R299 a month.

One final element worth noting is that RICA activation is facilitated via two unique codes on their SIM packaging. Added to this is the requirement of a valid South African ID or passport (SA or non-SA), a proof of residence not older than three months and your smartphone.
