Shang-Chi post-credits mystery furthered by She-Hulk

The post-credits scene of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings had people scratching their heads as Bruce Banner was in attendance as a regular human instead of the “Professor Hulk” we saw in much of Avengers: Endgame, and now this has been shown once again thanks to She-Hulk.

Disney / Marvel has released a new featurette for the upcoming She-Hulk show and it reveals that Tatiana Maslany’s character – Jennifer Walters – does get her She-Hulk powers in a similar way to the comics because of exposure to the Hulk’s blood in a car crash.

We get a glimpse of this car crash in the beginning of the video, embedded below, in which Banner is still in his human form and still wearing the arm sling we saw in the Shang-Chi post-credits.

Unfortunately the new video doesn’t explain why Banner is human again, but, seeing as he’s back to Professor Hulk in the rest of the series based on previous trailers, this will likely be explained.

Our guess is undoing Thanos’ snap in Endgame severely weakened him to the point that he had to be regular Banner for a while. Anything involving Thanos has traditionally scared Hulk away, as we saw in his absence in Avengers: Infinity War.

Wong, who was also in attendance in the Shang-Chi post-credits scene, will be a recurring character in She-Hulk along with Banner / Hulk.

Rewinding to the start of the video and it’s also interesting to note that Kevin Feige himself gives us She-Hulk’s exact height: 6’7″. That’s just a hair over two metres for everyone else outside of America.

The last time we got an exact height measurement of an exceptionally tall character it was Lady Dimitrescu at 2.9 metres back in February 2021. Lady Dimitrescu does, however, have the advantage of that huge hat (and heels) which is included in the 2.9 metre number.
