Tuks and HSRC hosting events for National Science Week

The University of Pretoria (aka Tuks) and the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) are hosting a number of events starting next month to celebrate National Science Week.

National Science Week (NSW) is an initiative by the South African government to promote and encourage all things STEM especially for students. According to the official government website the tradition has been running since 2000 and its 2022 incarnation will be run between 1st and 6th August.

As for the events hosted by Tuks and the HSRC, these will include community outreach, panel discussions, a documentary and more.

HSRC has provided the schedule for events which you can read below but it should be noted that several online webinars will also be happening with links to them – hosted on Zoom – being shared via Twitter. Follow @HSRCza for these updates. Further details can also be found on the HSRC site here.
