DCC distributing Lenovo products tailored to Portuguese in Mozambique

  • In recent months, local distributor Drive Control Corporation has intensified its breadth of Lenovo offerings in the SADC region.
  • Its latest notebooks are made for the Mozambique market in particular, featuring hardware and software support for Portuguese.
  • Two notebook models in particular have been tailored for this market – the ThinkBook 14s Yoga Multi-Touch and ThinkBook 15 Gen 2.

2022 is a year that has seen local distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) ramp up its collaboration with Lenovo, so much so that it has become one of its key partners in the SADC region when it comes to making products available to the channel market.

That shows no signs of changing, as DCC has announced that it is bringing a handful of Lenovo offerings uniquely tailored to the Mozambique market to the fore. More specifically the distributor has two notebook models – ThinkBook 14s Yoga Multi-Touch and ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 – that it is making available in the region.

What makes them uniquely tailored is the fact that they feature both hardware and software designed with the Portuguese-speaking people of Mozambique in mind.

To that end, DCC notes that these devices feature integrated Portuguese keyboards and Windows 11 Pro 64 with Portuguese/English onboard.

“The ThinkBook 14s Yoga Multi-Touch and ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 notebooks are two of Lenovo’s most popular product ranges; we’re thrilled to offer both with integrated Portuguese features to our valued channels partners in Mozambique,” commented Steven Opperman, Business Management analyst at DCC.

“Looking at the products, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga is a lightweight, aluminium-encased notebook that features a 14-inch in-plane switching (IPS) 1920 x 1080 touchscreen and a 360° hinge, providing a tablet-like experience. The ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 laptop comes in an elegant and professional mineral grey design. Its sleek bezels deliver an 88% screen-to-body ratio and at just 18.9 mm thick and 1.7 kg, it’s thin and light enough to take anywhere,” added DCC in a press release sent to Hypertext, highlighting the notebooks’ other key elements.

The distributor also explains that both notebooks ship with a one-year, in-depot warranty.
