• MTN has launched internet data deals at reduced prices as part of Black Friday 2022.
• Deals have come to products such as PayAsYouGo, MyMTN Home, MTN Business and MTN Contract with the telecom claiming you will be able to save up to 60 percent on select offerings.
• As part of select MyMTN Home deals, MTN is even offering a free mini UPS to the value of R799.

Running from 18th November until 4th December 2022, MTN is giving its customers the opportunity to save on Black Friday data deals across its PayAsYouGo, MyMTN Home, MTN Business and MTN contract products.

Certain data packages will see savings of up to 60 percent, according to the telecom.

As loadshedding is set to ramp up for the next few months, the telecom is even adding a bonus free mini UPS, valued at R799, when taking advantage of select MyMTN Home residential internet packages.

These include:

• For R699 x 24 months: customers get 1TB of Anytime data and a free 5G router, plus a free mini UPS.
• For R399 x 24 months: customers get uncapped home Wi-Fi at 10mMbps and a free 4G LTE router. This deal, however, carries a soft cap when exceeding 400GB.

“With big Black Friday deals, MTN customers can save even more with low-price points and best-value product offers,” says MTN in a statement sent to Hypertext.

“After another long, hard year, everyone needs a win – and we are playing our part by rewarding our customers simply being on the MTN network,” says Ernst Fonternel, MTN SA’s Chief Consumer Officer.

The following are the data deals being offered as part of MTN’s Black Friday sale:

The above SIM-only deals can be paid monthly and cancelled anytime.

Customers need to simply download and visit the MTN app or dial *234#, select the Black Friday bundle they want and then select “monthly” when paying for these bundles.

Two deals on contract are also being offered:

MTN Prepaid Deals – Made4U 

MTN says that it is giving every PayAsYouGo and Pulse customer 100MB of free data valid for one day for the period of the next two weeks.

It is also offering personalised data and voice offers available on the new Made4U menu. These offers include 1GB for one day for R10 or 100GB for one month for R200.

Prepaid and Pulse customers can buy their personalized Made4U offers and redeem their free Black Friday 100MB data by dialling *142# or *136*2#, on the MTN App, the MTN MoMo app.

Pulse customers can dial *411# for their Made4U deals.

There are also a number of Black Friday deals for MTN MoMo subscribers, including:

MTN Business customers have access to a number of Black Friday deals being offered during the campaign, including 24-month contracts starting at speeds of 5Mbps up to 20Mbps from R199 to R399:

MTN says that the promotional value for these deals is issued monthly with 30-day validity and that a soft cap in the guise of a fair use policy applies to uncapped deals. 

Finally, MTN is offering discounted smartphone devices with contracted price plans, including:
