The PlayStation Plus games coming to subscribers this month

  • Sony has announced three new games coming at no extra cost for members of PlayStation Plus in November.
  • This month’s crop of titles is headlined by the remastered edition of Nioh 2, including all DLC and updated graphics for the PS5.
  • More titles are yet to be announced for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers later this month.

It’s that time again. That time when the PlayStation player in your life catches you and asks you, “Dude! Did you see what games are on PlayStation Plus this month?” If your usual answer is “Nah” then fret not. Hypertext is here with all the details about the latest crop of games PlayStation is giving to its Plus service subscribers.

“These titles can be enjoyed by PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium members from Tuesday November 1. The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog lineup for October will be announced later this month,” says Adam Michel, Sony’s Director, Content Acquisition and Operations, in an official blog post.

November’s titles are headlined by a monstrous game, Nioh 2.

Fans of Elden Ring will probably enjoy this sleek and shiny Souls-like set in a fantastic medieval Japan. Create your own character as you battle hordes of oni demons across the beautifully atmospheric Sengoku period of history.

If you like picking up endless amounts of loot, punishing – yet rewarding – combat, colourful characters and high levels of customisation from aesthetics to minute details of skills and abilities, Nioh 2 might be for you.

Members of PlayStation Plus can add both Nioh 2 on PS4 and Nioh 2 Remastered (which includes all the expansions) to their libraries. Available for PS4 and PS5.

This month also brings the entire LEGO Harry Potter collection at no extra cost for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Return to Hogwarts for all seven years in this lovingly crafted LEGO series.

The LEGO games are known for their comedy and their simple, yet time-tested gameplay loop of smashing things and collecting shiny objects. With Harry Potter, this is back with an added magic system that includes spell-crafting and potion-making and over 130 characters to unlock.

Members of PS Plus can now add both the remastered versions of LEGO Harry Potter Years 1 – 4 and Years 5 – 7 to their library on PS4 only. Fans of the films will be rewarded with enormous amounts of nods and easter eggs and splitscreen co-op gameplay will let you and your little ones enjoy hours of fun. Or you and your very adult friends. We’re not judging here.

The final game in the lineup is an indie title. The Unity-powered puzzler Heavenly Bodies.

The game leverages its physics engine to create obstacles. Play a series of gravity-free levels as a cosmonaut suspended in space. Simple to start yet challenging to master seems like the deal with Heavenly Bodies. Join your friends in hurtling through space and mining asteroids through online and local co-op.

Heavenly Bodies is now available at no extra cost for PS Plus members on PS4 and PS5.

PlayStation Plus was recently updated by Sony to include more benefits for subscribers in an effort to challenge the value that competitor Xbox is offering with its Game Pass. The update brought more subscription tiers, including a $9.99 per month model on which you can download two games per month and take advantage of specific discounts.

However, and unfortunately for PlayStation loyalists, Game Pass continues to have far more value for money as a subscription service that gives you access to every game in the Xbox library.
