We have walked the halls of the rAge Expo 2022 on its first day as the return of the South African staple comes to the Gallagher Convention Centre between 9th and 11th December.
One of the best part ofs any rAge is the cosplayers and seeing the local talent and passion that goes into their costumes.
To share some of that with you we snapped some quick pictures of those cosplayers which you can see in the gallery below. You can even go for a bit of a trip to see cosplay from previous years as we have provided similar coverage for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
The convention was down for a few years during the pandemic but, judging from what we saw on the first day, it’s back with a vengeance.
It should be noted that those attending rAge on the Saturday and Sunday will see many more cosplayers compared to what we did on the Friday, which is a work day after all. That being said the floor was still very busy and when we arrived early in the morning the line to get through the door was almost spilling out onto the street. If you’re attending this weekend you may still want to come early but you will be encountering crowds no matter what time you attend.
Those who want to see all the cosplay in one place should attend on Saturday as there will be a cosplay panel at the All Star Gaming stand between 12:30 and 13:30.
