- Now the company is highlighting its affordable range of 4K TVs for the South African market.
In 2022 TCL made a bit of a name for itself when it came to affordably priced TVs in South Africa. That shows no signs of changing this year either, as the Chinese manufacturer recently highlighted its range of 4K TVs available locally.
While last year saw new Google-supporting options land on our shores, as well as Pick n Pay becoming a key retail partner, these new 4K TVs under the TCL P-series are designed to offer the best bang for your buck, according to the company.
To that end the company notes that its 4K lineup, fully enabled Google TV, are led by the P635 and P735.
The former boasts full Dolby Audio, HDMI 2.1 functionality, Google enabled add-ons, along with being available in 43”, 50”, and 55″ screen sizes, with pricing recommended to start from R4 999. As for the P735, it comes in larger 55”, 65”, and 75” screen sizes, as well as being a little more expensive, starting from R7 499.
TCL has highlighted its P735 as being the standout of the two models.

Powered by AiPQ Engine Chipset, these Google TVs ensure that every single frame presents perfectly,” it explained in a press release sent to Hypertext.
“With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, the P735 also delivers a stunning, high-quality cinematic experience with dynamic motion imagery and immersive audio. Dolby Vision is an advanced imaging technology that combines high dynamic range (HDR) with vibrant colour capabilities to deliver ultra-vivid picture quality with incredible brightness, contrast, colours, and details,” it added.
As mentioned these 4K TVs can be picked up from Pick n Pay Hypers, along with selected retailers across the country.
