1 whole Bitcoin is up for grabs from this African crypto trader

  • Yellow Card is running a new competition which could see a lucky user win one Bitcoin which is currently valued at nearly R400 000.
  • To be eligible, users have to download the Yellow Card app, go through the verification process and follow the trader on its social media.
  • Yellow Card hopes this competition increases the interest of cryptocurrency in Africa.

American-managed, pan-African crypto trader Yellow Card is holding a new competition in the hopes of getting more users on its platform. The prize – one whole unit of Bitcoin (BTC).

At the time of writing, 1 BTC is worth $21 815,70 or R392 420,81, so in essence, the competition could see a lucky Yellow Card user win a very significant amount of money.

The “A WHOLE in Your Wallet” lucky draw competition will run from 13th February until 26th March, says Yellow Card in a press release sent to us.

To be eligible, you need to download the Yellow Card app, sign up, follow the trader on its social media accounts and then buy, sell or send a minimum of $10 on the Yellow Card app for a chance to win one BTC and other cash prizes.

Yellow Card, which last year received Africa’s first crypto trader license from Botswana, says that each transaction from a user will qualify as one entry.

John Colson, chief marketing officer of Yellow Card, explains that over the years their customers have been an integral part of the company’s success and this campaign is an opportunity to give back.

“We wanted to find an innovative way to interact with our customers and show our appreciation for their support. Winning one Bitcoin is an unprecedented prize that will no doubt also spark more interest in cryptocurrency in Africa, and as a result more engagement from ordinary citizens,” Colson said.

Here’s the rundown to qualify:

  • “Customers need to have completed their KYC to be verified,
  • Then updated their Yellow Card App and follow Yellow Card on all its social media platforms,
  • For weekly prizes, customers would need to have also completed Tier 1 verification. And to be eligible for the one BTC grand prize, customers would need to have completed their Tier 3 verification.”

Participating countries include Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, and Cameroon.
