H&M South Africa launching online via Superbalist

  • H&M South Africa has partnered with local online retailer Superbalist to make its clothing available to purchase online.
  • Its clothing will be available starting next week, on 22nd February.
  • You can shop via the Superbalist app too, with deliveries facilitated by the Takealot-owned ecommerce platform.

H&M South Africa has made a significant announcement for local fans of the brand, as it is partnering with Superbalist to make its clothing available to purchase online.

H&M’s apparel will be available on Superbalist starting next week, 22nd February, with the partnership looking to leverage the existing delivery infrastructure of the Takealot-owned ecommerce platform.

“We are excited to launch online shopping across South Africa and offer all customers access to quality fashion at the best price, in a sustainable way, now just a click away. The partnership reinforces our commitment to sustainable growth in South Africa and will complement our current 28 stores across the country,” highlights Caroline Nelson, country manager for H&M South Africa, in a press release sent to Hypertext.

The company confirms that customers will be able to shop products for women, men, teens, and kids. The same goes for H&M Home, which will also be available to purchase on Superbalist from 2nd March onwards, both on its website and via its standalone app.

H&M products purchased via Superbalist will be delivered to customer doors for free, the company adds, although it is unclear how long that free offer will last. Customers can also collect parcels from the 80-plus Takealot Pickup Points across SA (between 7:00 to 19:00).

“Consumers will also be able to shop through multiple payment methods like their debit cards, credit from platforms such as RCS and Payflex as well as Cash on delivery in selected regions,” the release adds.

“The first H&M store in South Africa opened in 2015, currently, there are 28 stores in the market with H&M Tygervalley Shopping Centre scheduled to open on Thursday, 27th April 2023,” it concludes.
