Nokia T10 tablet lands in SA for R3k

  • The latest tablet from HMD Global, the Nokia T10 is now available in South Africa.
  • It is the second tablet that the company has launched locally.
  • There are two variants, a WiFi only and WiFi + LTE model, retailing for R2 999 and R3 199 respectively.

HMD Global, which has been making Nokia Mobile devices for a number of years now, has announced the availability of a new tablet in the form of the T10. This is the second such device that the company has launched in South Africa, and the Nokia T10 is coming in at a pretty enticing price point.

More on that shortly, but first let’s run through what’s on offer here.

The Nokia T10 features an 8″ HD (1280×800) display up front. Just above said display sits a humble 2MP camera, and a solid 8MP lens on the rear. Looking at the other specifications, Unisoc has once again been tapped for the processor, with a T606 chipset found internally.

Added to this is 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD slot good for 512GB. There is also support for 4G and WiFi 5 on the connectivity side of things. It is worth noting too, that HMD Global is bringing two flavours of T10 to SA, with a WiFi only and WiFi + LTE model being made available.

Other notable aspects of the device include a 5 250mAh battery that is said to yield a full day’s use, along with pure Android 12 running as the native operating system. Speaking of which, HMD Global highlights that the T10 is good for at least three years of monthly security updates, and two years worth of OS updates.

As for recommended pricing, the WiFi only and WiFi + LTE models of Nokia T10 tablet retail for R2 999 and R3 199 respectively. Both models are being made available to purchase via local online retailer Takealot in Ocean Blue.

Having been impressed by the T20 tablet last year, it will be interesting to see how the latest offering performs.
