If you have been hankering for some new hardware from ASUS, you’re in luck, with the company recently announcing an event for next month. Happening on 20th April to be precise, the event has been dubbed “Thincredible” and while we have thoughts on the title, we are keen to see what new notebooks will be showcased.

To that end, while no official details on models have been shared, ASUS has noted that new OLED display-sporting Zenbook and Vivobook options will be showcased next month.

“During the event, ASUS will exhibit its newest ultrathin and ultralight Zenbook and Vivobook models that are packed with high-performance and brilliant OLED displays, embodying the ASUS commitment to pursuing incredible innovations that create a joyful, smart life for everyone. Additionally, the event will include the world premiere of a Zenbook model that will further empower users with its unbelievable practicality and mobility,” ASUS pointed out in a press release sent to Hypertext.

The company will also be talking up its sustainability efforts, with many of the new devices that will be on show featuring a fair amount of recycled materials and components.

“ASUS laptops are built using recyclable materials and meet the highest environmental standards, ensuring incredibly sustainable devices. In 2023, over 90% of ASUS consumer laptops will meet EPEAT and ENERGY STAR 8.0 standards,” it added.

Also on the cards will be a lineup of products made in collaboration with an yet-to-be-shared streetwear brand, although it’s unclear at this stage whether ASUS will make this available in South Africa.

Should you wish to tune into the event, set your clocks for 18:00 local time on 20th April.
