- Consumer electronics brand TECNO has announced that it will be launching five new devices in South Africa over the coming months.
- No precise dates are mentioned, but a 5G model is included in the mix of smartphones slated for local release.
- The brand has been available in SA since 2016, but this year marks one of its largest device rollouts.
Last year we became more familiar with smartphones from Chinese brand TECNO, and while the company has been operating in South Africa since 2016, this year looks set to be one of its most significant when it comes to new devices landing locally.
This as the company has confirmed that five new devices are slated for release in SA over the coming months.
“TECNO, an innovative technology brand with operations in over 70 global markets, today announced that five new smartphones will be launched in South Africa in the near future,” it confirmed in a press release sent to Hypertext.
The devices earmarked for SA are the:
- SPARK 10 Pro,
- SPARK 10C,
- SPARK 10 5G,
- SPARK GO 2023,
- POP 7.
At the time of writing, no definitive launch dates, nor recommended pricing, have been detailed by the company, but it was noted the SPARK 10 5G will arrive later than the other models, so it may be worthwhile holding out, should 5G connectivity be an important consideration in your purchase.
