UAV Health Management System (UHMS) keeps your DJI drones fit

When it comes to investing in important infrastructure, a litany of important questions need to be asked with one of the biggest being this: What happens when things go wrong?

Entire industries exist around maintenance, repair, loss prevention and more to make the assets of companies and governments last as long as possible, and to be as reliable as possible during that time.

The world of drones is no different and a great example is DJI enterprise which not only has its own ecosystem for purchasing, after sales support and training (more on that later) but the drones themselves are built to stay healthy.

And healthy really is the word to use because of the UAV Health Management System (UHMS) featured on the DJI Matrice 300 RTK. This piece of software is your front line when it comes to tackling any problems as they appear.

But how does UHMS work? Simply access the software through the DJI Matrice 300 RTK remote controller and go from there.

Inside of UHMS you can see each of the modules of the drone. As we introduced you to earlier this year, the DJI Matrice 300 RTK is less of a drone and more of a problem solving, flying platform which you can customise with modules to suit your needs. Inside of UHMS you can see the status of these modules, such as the Zenmuse H20 Series camera (featuring a 20 MP Zoom Camera, 12 MP Wide Camera and integrated laser rangefinder), Zenmuse H20T camera, any other modules or the drone itself.

Should UHMS detect any abnormalities, it will alert you with a warning message. Tapping on this message will provide suggestions for solutions, such as documents with further information or the ability to upload the log for outside help.

That outside help comes from the aforementioned South African DJI enterprise ecosystem with the companies below which will help you get into the air and stay there indefinitely:

The log and extra information created by the UHMS allow for faster troubleshooting because sometimes a problem is as easy to fix as a restart or an update, while other times your drone needs to go to the professionals for help.

Even for those not involved in the world of automotive repair, it’s no secret that many car troubles are logged into a car’s internal memory that can be accessed at a dealership or mechanic, but these errors are usually hidden from the customer with custom software and specialised tools.

UHMS, on the other hand, is readily available on the DJI Matrice 300 RTK as a key feature for maintenance and repair, greatly reducing the downtime should something not be as it should.

Even better is the fact that UHMS is just one of the many systems that DJI has cleverly engineered into the Matrice 300 RTK to keep it healthy. Consider the Aviation-Grade Situational Awareness to prevent pilot errors from resulting in a crash, redundant flight systems which has several key components in duplicates to prevent failures, the DJI FlightHub 2 for taking care of an entire drone fleet and more.

All of this combines for peace of mind when you invest in DJI enterprise and the DJI Matrice 300 RTK as your drone of choice.
