Creality: A keystone in 3D printing and in South Africa

If you have heard about 3D printing at all you have likely heard of Creality, the maker of 3D printers and printing accessories that has become a favourite for newcomers and veterans in the maker space since its inception almost a decade ago in 2014.

Creality is known for its now legendary Ender Series of 3D printers that routinely tops yearly charts and listicles for best machines you can buy to either start your 3D printing journey or add to it with a dependable machine that has remained a fan favourite ever since its launch in 2018. The Ender is so popular that it has created an entire subculture that creates content for this printer series alone, making it the de facto gold standard for 3D printers.

The community adoption of not just the Ender Series but all of Creality’s products means that you will be in good company once you jump on board. One of the best things about the 3D printing scene is its community which is always there to help you from your first unboxing to super specific questions and tiny tweaks which make good printers even better.

Now in 2023, the company is stronger than ever and offering South African enthusiasts world-class products for home, school or hobby use.

Products like the Creality K1 and the Creality HALOT-MAGE are pushing the boundaries of what personal 3D printers can do. Both of these printers are breaking the norm of what people expect from 3D printers with the K1 offering immense speeds of up to 600mm/s at max speed and the HALOT-MAGE challenging the quality of the competition with its resin prints of 8K (29.7μm) resolution.

Check back to Hypertext soon where we’ll have dedicated features on each of these machines which challenge the misconceptions people may have about 3D printing when it comes to the speed and quality of what you can make.

Online, in person and on special

After celebrating a recent anniversary, Creality revealed that it has 3.5 million users across the globe. If you want to add to that number it’s easy to get your Creality 3D printers, filament and accessories right here in South Africa.

Shop from the comfort of your home with the Creality range available on Takealot or visit your local Makro branch to shop in person and browse the physical products.

Even better is specials that you can find right now and in the near future to 3D print for less. On the 15th of every month Takealot’s FNB Day sees innumerable products – including those from Creality – offering customers more eBucks on their purchases.

But if you want everyday discounts look no further than Creality filament. Once you get into 3D printing you can never have enough filament and Creality is offering Ender PLA as low as R349 per kilogram. The higher end Ender PLA+ is only a slight increase at R399 per kilogram.

And the news gets even better as we can report that there will be sales on Creality products for all the major holidays. For Christmas, Cyber Monday, Black Friday and more, the company will be offering discounts and sales, but you will have to tune back in closer to the time for that news in Facebook group – Creality official 3D Printing in South Africa.
