Discovery Bank launches 48-hour solar installation guarantee

  • Discovery Bank is now offering its customers a 48-hour guarantee when it comes to the installation of a new solar solution at their homes.
  • The new guarantee comes after a recent partnership announced with local solar specialists Rubicon.
  • Discovery Bank also offers flexible financing solutions for those wanting to purchase solar, with up to 72-month plans available.

Like many other financial institutions, Discovery Bank has looked to help its customers by offering different solutions and financing options when it comes to investing in solar.

The latest offering from the company comes in the form of a 48-hour guarantee for the installation of energy projects at customer homes, with solar in particular being highlighted.

In a release sent to Hypertext, Discovery Bank notes that this new offering, “will allow clients installation within 48 hours from payment receipt for solar and back-up power solutions. This move streamlines the process, ensuring customers can power their homes promptly and efficiently.”

The institution also highlighted the role that its recent partnership with Rubicon, a local solar solution provider, has yielded. It says the partnership has, “been highly successful in scaling up its operational capabilities to meet service excellence requirements and demand.”

“To date we’ve only made the service available to a limited segment of our client base while we’ve refined the operational processes; we are now ready to bring the financing solution to all Discovery Bank clients. By working closely with our partner Rubicon, Discovery Bank clients will get fast-track installation – within 48 hours – of their solar solution after completing their order. This shifts the typical three-week installation period to a two-day turnaround,” adds Hylton Kallner, CEO of Discovery Bank.

While the two-day turnaround for a solar installation is indeed alluring, it is also worth pointing out that there are some provisos, such as the installation guarantee being applicable within major cities and is subject to stock availability.

That said, with loadshedding and the ongoing energy crisis, few South Africans can afford to be without power anymore.
