- Additionally, the results can be obtained by visiting your school district centre or the venue you wrote your exams at.
Nearly 300 000 learners from across South Africa are set to receive the results of their matric rewrite exams on Monday 7th August 2023.
Despite an 80 percent pass rate for the class of 2022, the Second Chance Matric (matric rewrite) programme is implemented to help out matrics that do not wish to repeat the entire year and simply write their exams again, or write just the exams that they wish to do better in.
It is also an opportunity to better your marks, for example, if you are looking at a tertiary degree that necessitates certain subject marks over others.
How to find your matric rewrite exam results online
The simplest way to find your exam results online is to head to the Department of Basic Education’s website, more specifically the 2022 NSC Exam Results page – here.
Once here you will have to enter your exam number, the one you wrote down on all of your answer sheets. Then hit ‘search’ to begin looking for your results.
You can also request to have your rewrite results rechecked and remarked if you are not happy with them.
While this ensures that your scripts are checked and all marks are counted, it could also be in your disfavour as a marker may see that they gave you too many points for a certain question, or that you left something out. If you are happy with your results or feel that they are fair then we suggest you simply let bygones be bygones.
