Scott Pilgrim Takes Off heads to Netflix on 17th November

  • Netflix dropped a trailer for its upcoming Scott Pilgrim Takes Off animated series.
  • The series features the same cast as the live-action 2010 film, all lending their voices.
  • Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is set to arrive on Netflix on 17th November.

At the weekend, Netflix dropped a trailer for one of its most highly anticipated animated series in the form of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

Although it is not live-action, this series features almost all of the talents that were involved with the cult 2010 film, with the likes of Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, and more being involved with the eight-episode long series.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off arrives on Netflix come 17th November, as it brings the work of Bryan Lee O’Malley to life in a new medium.

“I knew that a live-action sequel was unlikely, but I would usually defer by suggesting that perhaps an anime adaptation was an interesting way to go,” noted Edgar Wright, who directed the live-action 2010 film.

“And then, lo and behold, one day Netflix got in touch to ask about this exact idea. But even better, our brilliant creator Bryan Lee O’Malley had an idea that was way more adventurous than just a straight adaptation of the original books,” he added.

Hit play on the trailer after the break, and enjoy what is shaping up to be one of the more promising animated offerings on Netflix.
