Anker announces new partnership with Tudortech

  • As the energy crisis worsens, South Africans are looking for any way to mitigate the effects of loadshedding.
  • Today, Anker Innovations announced a new partnership with Tudortech to distribute its products locally.
  • Tudortech has a well-established network that spans 10 000 stores.

South Africa is, at present, a gold mine for makers of backup power solutions. On Tuesday EcoFlow told Hypertext that its Delta 2 portable power station was the third best-selling product for Takealot on Black Friday.

It’s clear that South Africans want to guard against loadshedding and as such, we’re seeing a growing number of options for backup power arriving on the local market.

To further establish its foothold in that market, Anker Innovations, makers of chargers, power banks, wireless chargers, cables, and AC-powered products have announced a partnership with Tudortech, a local distributor.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Tudortech to expand our presence in South Africa. This partnership represents a significant step forward for Anker Innovations as we bring our innovative charging products closer to South African consumers. Our commitment to providing top-tier charging solutions aligns perfectly with Tudortech’s dedication to delivering leading global brands to the South African market,” general manager for Anker Innovations in MEA and South Asia, Faraz Ahmed said in a statement.

This expansion will be helped by Tudortech’s well-established network that spans 10 000 stores in the mass retail, supermarkets, consumer electronics, mobile, IT, healthcare and homeware sectors.

“Tudortech is delighted to join hands with Anker Innovations, bringing their innovative products to South Africa. Anker’s reputation for excellence in the consumer electronics industry aligns perfectly with our mission of delivering quality products to our customers. We are confident that this partnership will add significant value to the South African market, and consumers can look forward to an array of world-class charging solutions,” chief executive officer at Tudortech, Gary Shap said of the partnership.

Earlier this year Anker announced a partnership with Premium Brand Distributors so we suspect we’ll start to see more Anker products arriving in local stores.
