- MTN South Africa has announced its Black Friday deals, covering prepaid, contract, and home internet product lines.
- Many of the deals come with additional access to streaming platform Disney+ at no extra cost.
- MTN’s Black Friday promotion will last from 17th November 2023 to 4th December 2023.
“Black November” 2023 is in full swing with deals and discounts flying fast and loose. From gaming to hardware, Black Friday tech deals are taking shape and now telco MTN has announced its own set of deals for the month.
Savings and deals on Mobile Internet, Home Internet, contracts and mobile devices are now available from 17th November until 4th December 2023. Some deals even included a few months pre-paid subscriptions to Disney+ and Disney+ Premium.
MTN Prepaid offers
One Black Friday offer is for the Hisense H221M LTE MiFi Router, which is Pay As You Go and has been reduced to R199 from R399.
This specific deal “will not only give customers free 20GB (10GB anytime data plus a 10GB work-from-home bundle) both valid for 30 days but it will also include 3 months of access to Disney+ Mobile worth R150, on us,” Ernst Fonternel, chief consumer officer at MTN SA, says in a press release sent to Hypertext.
Other prepaid deals announced include:
- Save R1 000 on the Samsung Galaxy A24 LTE (R3 999). Deal includes three months access to Disney+ mobile on MTN, and a once-off 5GB anytime data bundle valid for 14 days.
Customers who recharge with R30 will get 6GB of anytime data valid for three days a month, for three months. Customers will also receive 500MB of YouTube data valid for three days a month, for three months.
MTN Contract offers
Customers can now save with the MTN Black Friday Mobile Internet SIM-only plan which includes 200GB of anytime data for R299 per month for 18 months. You can also add a pocket router for R20 per month to this deal to be able to connect anywhere.
Another deal is for 10GB of Anytime data plus 500 all net minutes for R299 per month for 18 months.
Other contract offers include:
- Save up to R12 960 on the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G for R299 per month on a MTN Mega Gigs XS plan,
- Save on two Honor X6a smartphones for R379 per month and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus which comes with Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 for R1 299 per month on the MyMTN Sky Bronze plan.
- All smartphone Black Friday deals are available on 24-month contract plans.
MTN says its customers can also stream their favourite Disney+ shows with a six-month Disney+ Mobile subscription worth R295 on MTN when they sign up or upgrade to any MTN Black Friday contract plan.
MTN Home Internet offers
The MyMTN Home Internet Starter package – a 10Mbps line (with fair use policy) – at R249 month to month. Comes with six months of Disney+ Premium.
For heavier users, there is the MyMTN Home Internet Premium package, a likewise soft-capped home internet package that offers users a download speed of 35Mbps. During the Black November period this deal includes 12 months of Disney+ Premium access for R499 month to month.
“All MyMTN Home Internet deals offer customers great value including Disney+ Premium package, uncapped data with no hard locks, a free-to-use router, and deals are month to month terms with no contract lock-ins,” Fonternel explains.
