- Nedbank has launched the Avo Solar shop to give South Africans easier access to financing for solar power systems.

The nine-day break from loadshedding during the Rugby World Cup was great but South Africans have once again been forced to confront the reality that power cuts aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
Thankfully, there is no shortage of solutions to keep some or all of the lights on at your home or business. For those who can, solar power offers an attractive escape from Eskom’s grid and now Nedbank has launched a way for more South Africans to access these solutions.
The Avo Solar shop offers a range of backup power solutions installed by certified, Nedbank-approved solar power suppliers and installers. The packages start with a simple 5kWh battery for R1 666 per month for up to 84 months and stretch up to R4 832 per month for three 5kWh battery, 14 550W solar panels and a 12kW three-phase inverter and dongle. All packages come with a 10-year warranty.
We’ve outlined all packages currently available below. The monthly instalment quoted includes an initiation fee of R1 207.50 and an administration fee of R69 per month. The instalment is calculated at Prime +3% over a 72-month period. As such, the pricing below should serve purely as a guide.
