iStore SA details deals for students, teachers, and lecturers

  • iStore South Africa has announced deals as the new academic year is about to begin for many across the country.
  • It is making offers on selected Mac hardware available between now and 30th March 2024.
  • A valid student card or proof of employment as a lecturer or teacher will be required in order to take advantage of the discounts on offer.

This week iStore South Africa announced the start of its local deals on selected Mac hardware with the local education sector in mind.

More specifically the Authorised Reseller is offering significant discounts on Mac-branded devices for South African tertiary students, lecturers, and teachers, with up to R6 000 off on products depending on what it is.

The retailer has created a landing page for students and educators alike, with applications required in order to take advantage of the deals that are on offer.

Speaking of which, the education-focused sales will run from now until 30th March 2024, which leaves room for those heading into tertiary institutions for the first time this year the opportunity to make the most of the deals too.

To apply for the deals, iStore South Africa has outlined some elements that will need to supplied to.

To that, students must also share:

  • “Your South African green ID book, smart ID card or passport
  • Your student card or proof of registration confirming that you’re a student in the 2024 academic year.”

As for educators, they need to supply:

  • “Your South African green ID book, smart ID card or passport
  • A stamped letter of employment.”

Looking at some of the deals that catch the eye, iStore SA has listed the following at the time of writing:

  • MacBook Air 13″ (M1) – from R16 999 (save R1 000),
  • MacBook Air 13″ (M2) – from R23 399 (save R2 600),
  • MacBook Air 15″ (M2) – from R27 499 (save R2 500),
  • MacBook Pro 16″ (M3 Pro) – from R54 999 (save R3 500).
