Honor Magic6 Pro lands locally as its latest flagship

  • Honor has debuted two new flagship devices for local audiences, one of which is the Magic6 Pro.

  • It also boasts an equally mammoth 5 600mAh battery.

This evening Honor South Africa debuted not one, but two, flagship phones for local fans of the brand. The first was a foldable in the form of the Magic V2, but for those who favour a traditional shape, the Magic6 Pro has landed locally too.

This device was showcased only a few weeks ago at its global unveiling at MWC in February, and is now getting ready to take its local bow.

In terms of what the standout features on this new device are, the 180MP periscope telephoto lens on the rear is getting a lot of the attention. This lens is also paired with two 50MP options taking care of wide-angle and ultra wide-angle shots respectively.

Honor has also imbued its latest flagship with some interesting photography features like AI Motion Sensing Capture. “Based on 8 million Movement Samples, covering 10 types Sports Category, HONOR AI Motion Sensing Capture can automatically capture more exciting sports moments,” it explains.

The phone maker has not held back on flagship components on this device in other areas either, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor present, and up to 512GB of internal storage. There is a sizeable 5 600mAh battery on offer too, which supports 100W wired supercharging.

The Magic6 Pro will be available to purchase in South Africa from 2nd April in both the Epi Green and Black colour options, with a recommended price tag of R27 999. Vodacom retailers are expected to receive devices as many as 10 days earlier.
