Registrations open for this year’s Mythic24 for Valorant series

  • PCBuilder has partnered with ACGL and a number of brands on the launch of its Mythic battle Royale series for Valorant this year.
  • Registrations are currently open, with the first round of matches set for 13th April.
  • A cash prize pool of R20 000 is up for grabs, plus an additional R10 000 in community goals.

PCBuilder in collaboration with the African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) has announced the return of its Mythic battle Royale series for Valorant (Mythic24) in 2024.

The Mythic24 series, which features brand partners AMD, MSI, CrucialRedragon, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 11, will have a cash prize pool of R20 000, with a further R10 000 up for grabs in terms of community goals, organisers have confirmed.

“The return of the streamer and content creator focused #ACGLRivals will follow the first season of Mythic. Thanks to PCBuilder and its partners, the return will offer even more opportunities to compete and win… for both competitors and supporters,” the organisers shared in a release with Hypertext.

“To widen the focus across titles, #Mythic24 will see the Season Two title determined via a variety of mechanics starting with the #ACGLRivals event,” it added.

As each phase of the action draws closer, more details will be shared in terms of opportunities that will be made available by PCBUilder and its partners, but those interested in the series can expect to see Season Two in the third quarter of 2024.

There is also the prospect of a special end-of-year event to ring in the holidays.

Looking at the more immediate competition, Valorant teams of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up and compete for free.

To that end registrations are now open for Mythic24 and close at 14:00 on 12th April, with the first round of matches scheduled for 13th April. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on 19th May, with all matches being available to be streamed live on the ACGL Twitch channel.

To follow the series, or talk about it with others on social media, organisers say the campaign hashtag #Mythic24 is the best way to do so.
