• Multiple reports suggest Samsung will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in a couple of months.
• The company is rumoured to be readying new foldable phones for the event.
• Samsung is also expected to finally detail its Galaxy Ring wearable in full.

If you have been thinking that Samsung has been a little quiet lately, you may not have to wait long until the company reveals new hardware. This as multiple reports suggest the next Galaxy Unpacked event is slated for 10th July in Paris.

This supports claims of the same date and city that Sammobile made back in March.

As for why the French capital has been chosen, well the reasoning is built around the 2024 Olympics, which kick off in Paris on 26th July, with Samsung being a key sponsor for the sporting event.

It therefore opens up several opportunities for Samsung as far as advertising new hardware is concerned, not to mention the tie-ins that are possible with its forthcoming wearable – the Galaxy Ring.

The company has been drip feeding the tech community information about the wearable, but little has been shared ever since it was seen in-person at MWC 24 in Barcelona earlier this year.

In terms of what the rumour mill has churned out regarding the device to date, it is expected that a Black colourway will join the Gold and Silver options that we already know about, along with Samsung releasing nine different ring sizes for the wearable.

How fittings would work is still in the offing, as is whether all nine different sizes for the three different colour options would be launched in all the countries that Samsung operates in.

Either way, it will be interesting to see how Samsung handles this hotly anticipated wearable’s rollout.

Joining the Galaxy Ring for Galaxy Unpacked in July are some foldables too, with Samsung predicted to be readying the latest iterations of its Z series – the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6. Other wearables in the form of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Buds 3 are set for the event too, according to South Korean outlet, Chosun Daily.

All of this is conjecture until Samsung Mobile officially sends out invites and teasers for its next Galaxy Unpacked, but the leaks that have surfaced to date are hard to ignore.

Either way we’re intrigued to see what impact the new hardware will have on the market, especially the Galaxy Ring, which could a number of similar devices released in the coming months from competitors too.
