TECNO Spark 20C lands in SA, exclusive to Edgars during May

  • TECNO has announced the local availability of its latest entry-level smartphone – the Spark 20C.
  • It is the successor to last year’s Spark 10C model and is exclusively available to purchase at Edgars until 31st May.
  • One of the standout features on the device, according to TECNO, is the 50MP dual rear camera.

TECNO has this week launched a new entry-level smartphone in South Africa in the form of the Spark 20C.

This latest device is a follow up to last year’s 10C model and is designed for cost savvy users who want maximum value for money, according to the Chinese smartphone manufacturer.

“Building on the foundation set by the SPARK 10C, the SPARK 20C comes with the mantra of Double Up, Level Up, a reflection of the upgrades to this phone’s tech from its predecessor,” highlights TECNO in a release shared with Hypertext.

To that end, some of the notable specifications of the device include a large 6.6″ HD+ display that supports up to 90Hz refresh rates, as well as a dual rear 50MP primary camera, and sizeable 5 000mAh battery.

“Its ultra definition imaging system uses AI to fine-tune image quality making each snap ultra clear and worthy of being posted to Instagram. The device also comes with enough space to house all the pictures and videos captured, so that some don’t have to be deleted, boasting 128GB ROM,” the smartphone maker added.

Speaking of affordability, the recommended retail price (RRP) of the Spark 20C is R3 849, but the device is launching exclusively through Edgars for the month of May. Here is it set to retail for R2 999, which represents an R850 saving, until 31st May. Purchasing it through Edgars will also provide an additional R400 worth of undisclosed accessories.

“Other TECNO devices are also available from select retail partners, including Ackermans, Dunns, Edgars, Game, HiFi Corp, Jet, Makro, Mr Price, PEP, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, TFG, Vodacom and Woolworths(availability varies per retailer per product and while stocks last),” the company noted.
