- ASUS has launched an updated version of the Vivobook S14 in South Africa.
- It launches with a high quality screen, lots of RAM and a sturdy chassis at R19 000.
- But users will be let down by the integrated graphics for gaming and creative needs.
The newly updated Vivobook S14 from ASUS has launched in South Africa, months after first being hinted at in a June announcement. The laptop features a striking display, a strong processor and a slim design – it is also more affordable compared to other members of the Vivobook lineup but not by much.
Overall it seems like a suitable rival to previous generation MacBooks, but gamers and creatives shouldn’t expect much from the integrated graphics on offer – an Intel Arc GPU.
This version can be chosen with up to 16G of RAM, with storage configurations of up to 1TB according to official website information. The S14 also comes packed with ASUS IceCool thermal technology, “which includes advanced heat pipes and a dual-fan system to keep your laptop cool during intensive use,” the company tell us.
