Samsung to reveal Galaxy S25 series on 22nd January

  • Leaked information this week suggests Samsung is readying to host a Galaxy Unpacked event on 22nd January next year.
  • The company is expected to reveal its latest Galaxy S25 series.
  • A teaser of its Project Moohan XR headset is also rumoured for the event.

Just like it did this year, Samsung is preparing to get well ahead of its flagship Android competition by hosting an event for its latest smartphones in January of 2025. This as information regarding the next Galaxy Unpacked event has leaked online early, with the Galaxy S25 series expected to be revealed on 22nd January.

The leaks come from a “reputable” source in the form of Evan Blass (@evleaks), who detailed that the event is scheduled for 22nd January in San Jose, California.

While Samsung has not officially commented on the matter, now that leaks have surface, we should receive confirmation via a press release in the coming days.

Until then, it is believed that three Galaxy S25 smartphones will see the light of day on 22nd January. This follows the company’s usual strategy, as a standard S25, larger S25+, and higher-specced S25 Ultra are all anticipated for an unveiling.

Details on the devices themselves are unknown for now, but as we get closer to the day, more information will likely leak online too.

For now, we will have to wait to see what Samsung has planned for January next year, as well as keep tabs on what other devices may surface at the next Galaxy Unpacked.

At the beginning of this year, for example, Samsung surprised everyone with its Galaxy Ring wearable. After much initial fanfare, excitement over the smart ring has died down, but they may be because the release of the device was fairly limited to a handful of regions. As such, perhaps the South Korean firm is readying a second iteration for a wider release?

Outside of smart wearables, headsets could also be on the cards for next year’s first Galaxy Unpacked. To that end, the Project Moohan concept that Samsung spoke about earlier this month for extended reality (XR) experiences could be teased as we get a better look at the new headset that the company is working on.

Either way, as in previous years, Samsung looks to be setting its flagship devices agenda early in 2025.
