Immortals of Aveum the PS5-only pick for April’s PS Plus games

  • PlayStation has announced the three titles that will be free to play for April as part of its PS Plus games.
  • The most notable game is Immortals of Aveum, which only debuted in August of last year.
  • The games will be accessible from 2nd April, leaving some time to enjoy the March PS Plus picks.

As we near the end of March, for PS Plus subscribers it is time to consider the upcoming free-to-play titles that will be available in April. For next month three games have been selected, with PlayStation adding the recently released Immortals of Aveum to the mix.

The game, which we have not played but is an EA Original title that clearly had a sizeable investment in its development, was released in August of last year as magic-based first-person shooter. It is safe to say that reviews were mixed for this one, but seeing as how Baldur’s Gate 3 and Armored Core VI released in the same month, it was never likely to get that much attention.

Perhaps as an April 2024 PS Plus release, it will get a little more love?

Joining Immortals of Aveum for April are Minecraft Legends, and Skul: The Hero Slayer. All three titles will be accessible from 2nd April all the way until 6th May. It also means that there is still some time to try out the March picks, which includes Sifu.

Minecraft Legends is a fairly well-known addition here, but Skul is lesser so. It is described as a, “2D action platformer boasts rogue-like features, with an ever-changing map and a growing arsenal of abilities, each with its own unique attack range, speed and power.”

Along with the three games listed above, PS Plus is also making some Overwatch 2 content available. Here you’ll be able to get the Legendary Beekeeper Sigma, Legendary Art Deco Symmetra, seven Epic Skins, and five Battle Pass Tier Skips, for free.

“You’ll be able to find and download this bundle in addition to the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games line up on PlayStation Store. Download Overwatch 2 from the PlayStation Store to access. Once downloaded, the bundle’s contents will be available in-game immediately, regardless of whether you’re a new or returning player,” PlayStation confirmed.

If you’re pinching pennies for April, this might be a decent way to scratch any gaming itch next month.
